Annie Duke Silence is Deafening

Never one short for words, poker pro Annie Duke has suddenly gone silent.

Duke’s Twitter page has not featured any entries since June 7 when she last tweeted:

Prior to this time, Duke had been tweeting just about every day.

Yes, she’s in Vegas taking part in the World Series of Poker events, but that doesn’t stop a person from playing on Twitter (witness Phil Hellmuth).

Duke has come under fire for her role as Commissioner in the now bankrupt Epic Poker fiasco.  Billed as the next big thing in poker tournaments, Epic barely survived nine months.  Duke is rumored to be seeking back payment even though she is fully aware the organization is in dire financial straits. 

Previous to this, Duke was the long time spokesperson for UB.com, the now shuttered online poker room that owes countless numbers of customers money. 

Worse still, Ms. Duke is the sister of Howard Lederer, quite possibly one of the most hated men in all of poker due to his role in Full Tilt Poker.  He was recently implicated in an alleged ponzi scheme.

We don’t know the real reason why Annie Duke is so quiet but, yes, the silence is deafening.

Odds on whether she starts tweeting again after reading this are ?????
