One of the 17 poker players remaining at Event #17 of the World Series of Poker Pot-Limit Hold’em was Phil Ivey.  One of the most recognized names in all of poker returned to the WSOP after a one-year absence.  Ivey’s ties to now defunct Full Tilt Poker continue to leave a bad taste in some people’s mouths.  FTP owes millions of dollars to customers following their abrupt closure more than a year ago.

Manuel Bevand was the chip leader at this event while Shaun Deeb sat among the top five chip leaders.

Event #18: Seven Card Razz Will Offer $182,793 to Winner:  Phil Hellmuth Strong Showing

Heading into Sunday’s play at the Event #18:  Seven Card Razz, WSOP record bracelet holder Phil Hellmuth, with 11, had hoped to make it number 12 with an impressive showing as the third biggest chip leader.

$182,793 will be rewarded to the winner of this event but the money really comes second to Hellmuth winning that 12th bracelet.  Last year, the self-proclaimed “Poker Brat” managed to finish 2nd at three World Series of Poker events.  An impressive feat actually, if you ask us.

Revolution Gaming Enters Top 10 Most Trafficked Online Poker Networks

Revolution Gaming, featuring the likes of Lock Poker, Cake Poker and Intertops, have managed to enter the top 10 most trafficked online poker networks, landing in the number 10 position.   Yesterday, Gambling911.com broke the news that Revolution had officially become the largest US-facing Internet poker network.

Formerly known as the Cake Poker Network, the rebranded Revolution Gaming combines the forces of both Cake Poker and Lock Poker (formerly on the Merge Gaming platform).  Merge dropped out of the top 10 into 11th place.  Revolution is expected to pass by Microgaming and take control of the number 9 spot by Monday.

Merge and Microgaming will likely be wrestling for the number 10 spot.

Number 2 Still Up For Grabs

We at Gambling911.com have been keeping careful watch over the number 9 spot and which online poker network will ultimately take control of that position, however, there is another more coveted spot that has seen two networks alternating in recent months:  Number 2.

iPoker now holds a 300 player advantage over PartyPoker, which held onto the number two position for a good portion of May.

The two have been alternating between number 2 and 3 since Full Tilt Poker left the market last summer.
