Peter Campo was chip leader towards the end of Day 3 at the 2012 WPT Jacksonville BestBet Open.

The Waterford, Connecticut resident has enjoyed some success on the live poker circuit with 40 cashes and over $330,000 in winnings.

His lone 1st place finish was at the Harrah’s Atlantic City WSOP Circuit Event in December 8, 2009 where he walked away with $41,080.  Just 10 days later he had his biggest cash win to date with a 3rd place finish at the Mega Stack Challenge XIV Event #3 – No Limit Hold’em $300,000 Guarantee with a win of $55,289. 

The man in second place, Will “The Thrill” Failla, has just over $3 million in winnings to date. 

Last August, Failla won the Legends of Poker/WPT Event No Limit Hold’em Championship and the $758,085 that came with that victory. 

21 out of 320 players remained in the event at press time.
