In a matter of hours, 25 players are expected to compete for a piece of the $3,000,000 plus prize pool at the first ever Manila Millions Super High Roller tournament, kicking off the 2012 Asian Poker Tour.

Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Johnny Chan, John Juanda, Andrew Robl and Sam Trickett were among those slated to take part in the HKD$1,000,000 ($129,000) buy-in tournament.  A handful of wealthy businesspersons were also likely to join the pros in Friday’s event.

2012 World Series of Poker champion, Canadian Jonathan Duhamel, was also rumored to be playing, however, that is yet to be confirmed.
The Manila Millions Super High Roller will run just one day before the APT Philippines main event.
