As Gambling911.com reported the other day, professional poker player Phil Ivey has come out of hiding and showed up at the PokerStars Macau Poker Room at approximately 1:45 pm Wednesday afternoon.

Ivey has been out of sight since the online poker room he was a part of, Full Tilt Poker, abruptly exited the US market in April 15 following a series of indictments against company executives.  Individuals connected to Full Tilt Poker were charged with money laundering and bank fraud.  Last month, the US Government alleged three poker pros with ties to the now shuttered online poker room were part of an elaborate ponzi scheme.  Ivey has not been charged.

Those in attendance at the PokerStars Macau Poker Room were said to be in utter shock.  However, it was widely known Ivey had signed up for the event as a Facebook page featured a photo of his “wait list” slip.

On the felt, it was like he'd never left, the PokerStars Blog noted.  Ivey navigated through the Day 1a field with relative ease, coasting to a comfortable 51,200 in chips by day's end, almost doubling his 30,000 starting stack.

...On Thanksgiving Day November 24th 2011 at 9:00pm ET, America's Card Room was hosting a $25,000 Guaranteed ACROSS warm-up tourney. It costs just $50+5 to get into the Thanksgiving Warm-Up and satellites are now live from as little as $2.  If you are reading this AFTER Thanksgiving, there are plenty more opportunities to take advantage of America's Card Room's fabulous ACROSS TOURNAMENT.  Learn more here.
