Donald Trump Rises Above Michele Bachmann at Prediction Market
Donald Trump’s chances of winning the 2012 Republican US Presidential nomination continue to increase, now surpassing Michele Bachmann.
Prediction market intrade.com had The Donald close to 8 percent after being at 5.8 percent just last week.
Bachmann’s odds of grabbing the GOP nomination fell from just shy of 8 percent last week to 7 percent.
Mitt Romney (26.1 percent), Tim Pawlenty (15.5 percent) and Mitch Daniels (9.1 percent), all have better odds of winning the nomination.
Ron Paul’s chances have moved up to 4 percent, closing in on Sarah Palin at 4.6 percent.
Trump on Wednesday also indicated that he could run as an Independent. His odds of winning the US Presidency were close to 4 percent.
"I think the Republicans are very concerned that I [may] run as an independent," Trump said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. "I could also possibly win as an independent, otherwise I wouldn't do it. I'm not doing it for any other reason. I like winning."
