Mouth Defends Brat's P.T. Barnum Grand Entry 'Without Hellmuth You'd Probably Be Homeless'
Not everyone is impressed with World Series of Poker bracelet record holder Phil Hellmuth's over-the-top entrances each year. They've become a staple of the WSOP main event.
This year, Phil arrived as circus showman P.T. Barnum, flanked with scantily clad women carrying number cards up to 17, which represented his record bracelet wins. He was also accompanied by Dan "Jungleman" Cates dressed up as a lion. That was actually pretty toned down compared to past entries. He once showed up as a Roman gladiator.

But not everyone is impressed.
Among those not loving the grand entrances, 3 time bracelet winner Chance Kornuth.
"Imagine waiting your whole life waiting to play the Main, it’s level 5 on the first day and you’re facing a decision for your tournament life - your lifelong poker dream is hanging in the balance…
"Then, the speakers directly behind you blare ear splitting trumpets, you hear “MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE” and in comes this guy carried by 20 fake Roman servants while your opponent calls the clock on you.

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, who found himself apologizing to an individual he tweeted with terminal cancer Friday morning (we missed it), quickly came to his friend Phil's defense.
"Without @phil_hellmuth nobody is ever making quarter in poker and most are prolly homeless! Him and Mike Sexton had the vision to make it what it is today, so clap your hands and sat ty @phil_hellmuth for everything I have!"
