MLB Betting Analysis - July 25, 2025
Gambling911.com looks at potential value in MLB betting lines and totals based on a number of factors for games played Friday July 25, 2025.
July 25, 2025
Dodgers vs. Red Sox
Some of the hotter cappers along with the betting public were all over Boston here.
Emmet Sheehan took a loss while working three innings and allowing five runs against the Brewers on Saturday but he did allow just one run with three strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win over the Giants.
Brayan Bello yielded three runs in six innings Saturday in a loss to the Cubs but permitted just one run in 6 1/3 innings versus the Rays before that.
Shohei Ohtani is 4-for-8 against him but with zero home runs or RBIs. Andy Pages is 0-for-2 against him.
Boston is averaging 5.37 runs per game at home, second-most in baseball, though Sheehan has allowed only one home run this season.
July 24, 2025
Blue Jays vs. Tigers
Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Reese Olson (Thursday) are just .083 in 38 appearances. They have a single RBI.
Olson pitched well in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday evening, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of shutout baseball.
Despite pitching well of late, Olson is not picking up the wins. This game offers an excellent opportunity.
Detroit Tigers career statistics vs. Eric Lauer are 13-for-34 (.382). They have two home runs and two RBIs.
Lauer pitched six innings of two-run ball and struck out seven Saturday against the Giants. He allowed just two runs in each of his previous two starts as well.
The public and cappers are all over Toronto here. The line has moved very little and was sitting at just -130 favoring Detroit.
One of the hotter cappers at the moment is backing Detroit here and we are too.
July 23, 2025
- Orioles vs. Guardians - Lopsided Over action observed. The Action Network is saying 94% of the total action was on the Over but with some sharp moves on the Under. Slade Cecconi allowed six runs in 8 1/3 innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 8-6 victory over the Athletics on Friday. He had a win prior to that.
- Yankees vs. Blue Jays - Lopsided action on the Under. This one has been sitting on the 8.5 pretty much everywhere. Max Fried has allowed just 3 RBIs in 76 Blue Jays at bats. He allowed three runs in five innings and got the win in the Yankees’ 6-4 victory over the Mets in his last start but had a loss before that to these very same Blue Jays. Yankees career statistics vs. Chris Bassitt are .304.
- Red Sox vs. Phillies - Some of the top cappers are all over Boston as the road dog here. Even more so, they are loving the Over 8.5 here. Lucas Giolito struggled in a losing effort against the Cubs on Friday afternoon, giving up four runs on five hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work. Prior to that clunker he pitched six scoreless innings. He only permitted 22 hits in 108 at bats but, included in that was eight home runs. Max Kepler had three of those but is just .207 on the season thus far. Half of the last ten in this series have gone Over the 8.5. Luzardo allowed seven hits and four runs with two walks and seven strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Angels on Friday.
July 21, 2025
The Cincinnati Reds come in with value as a -125 road favorite in Washington. The gambling public is backing the Reds.
Brady Singer has permitted 6 RBIs in 48 at bats.
Singer allowed three runs with nine strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies. He had a loss in his previous start.
Cincinnati Reds career statistics vs. Jake Irvin are 20-for-60 hitting. They have seven RBIs. Elly De La Cruz is 4-for-11 against him.
Irvin allowed three runs — all of them unearned — in five innings in a loss to the Brewers.
The Action Network suggests Singer has given up a 1.27 HR/9 this season and is due for some negative regression, with a 44% fly-ball rate and 40% hard-contact rate.
Washington is 6-2 over the last eight in this series.
Action was lopsided with the Yankees-Blue Jays Over with most books moving from 8 to 8.5.
Toronto Blue Jays career statistics vs. Carlos Rodon are .245. They have 11 RBIs in 98 at bats against him. They only have three homers.
Rodón shut the Cubs out over eight innings while scattering four hits, walking one, and striking out eight in a dominant victory his last start.
Five of the last six in this series have gone Over the current total.
New York Yankees career statistics vs. Kevin Gausman are .250 in 184 at bats.
Gausman was shaky in a loss to the Athletics his last start while allowing four runs — three earned — over five innings. He allowed just two runs in his prior start.
The Giants are betting plenty of love this day from top handicappers. They are +117 coming into Atlanta.
Cash coming in was 60% or greater on Atlanta.
Hayden Birdsong pitched well in his last start, a victory over the Athletics, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of one-run baseball. He allowed four runs — three earned — with six strikeouts over four innings in a loss against the Diamondback before that.
San Francisco has won the last four in this series.
Bryce Elder worked 6 2/3 innings while allowing two runs to get a win over the Athletics his last start and has pitched well against the Giants.
July 20, 2025
The Padres-Nationals game was seeing heavy Under action at 8 and no movement early Sunday.
Washington Nationals career statistics vs. Nick Pivetta are .200 with just 3 RBIs in 65 at bats. There were zero home runs.
San Diego Padres career statistics vs. MacKenzie Gore have had better luck with 7 RBIs in 59 at bats (.271).
The Brewers were seeing plenty of love from sports handicappers in their game against the Dodgers Sunday night. The betting public was mostly on LA early at 65% or greater.
Los Angeles Dodgers career statistics vs. Jose Quintana are .267 with 12 RBIs in 120 appearances. Quintana pitched six innings of one-run ball, allowing just two hits, in a no-decision his most recent start.
Milwaukee Brewers career statistics vs. Clayton Kershaw have been pretty solid. They have seven RBIs in 76 at bats with 7 RBIs. Kershaw logged a quality start in his last start with a loss to the Brewers, giving up two runs on six hits over six strong frames.
The Brewers have won their last seven games against LA. It is also Milwaukee's ninth straight win.
The Orioles vs. Rays game had very lopsided action on the Under 9. This number has moved between the 8.5 and 9 at DraftKings.
Tampa Bay Rays career statistics vs. Trevor Rogers are 8-for-19 in a limited sampling but the Baltimore Orioles career statistics vs. Ryan Pepiot have 8 RBIs in 72 at bats (.206).
The Tigers vs. Rangers game will be played this evening. We have a total of 7 but noticing that some recreational books we follow were at 6.5. Total action is surprisingly balanced at 7.
Texas Rangers career statistics vs. Tarik Skubal have allowed 3 home runs and 11 RBIs with Jonah Heim having the most impact (nearly half of those RBIs), but he's just .220 on the season.
Tarik Skubal suffered his first loss since April 2 and should be on his A game here.
Jacob Latz will start Sunday’s game against the Tigers.
Although he took a no-hitter into the seventh, Jacob Latz ended up being charged with two runs in six-plus innings in a no-decision against the Orioles his last start.
Six of the last eight in this series have resulted in 7 or fewer runs and here we have two solid starting pitchers.
July 19, 2025
Sports handicappers are all over the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday as a -123 favorite versus the LA Angels.
Philadelphia Phillies career statistics vs. Yusei Kikuchi are just .188 or 6-of-32.
Los Angeles Angels career statistics vs. Taijuan Walker are .364 or 24-for-64. Mike Trout is 11 of 19 against him with three home runs and 7 RBIs.
We will pass on this one for sure.
Atlanta was also seeing plenty of love at +112 in their game versus the New York Yankees.
New York Yankees career statistics vs. Joey Wentz are 5 for 29 with four RBIs and one home run (.172)
Wentz pitched three hitless innings and struck out six against the Cardinals in his Braves debut Saturday.
Atlanta has won six of the last seven in this series.
We will go with Atlanta here at +112
