Bookies See Heavy Lopsided Betting Action for NFL Week 1 2011
The bookies were seeing a few 2011 Week 1 NFL games getting heavy lopsided betting action. For these games, the bookies will be rooting for the underdog….or maybe not.
In the case of the Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game, bookies will be rooting for the favorite, Baltimore, at -1.5 odds. That’s because the Steelers were getting around 85 percent of the spread action.
Likewise, Detroit was also a 1.5 underdog in Tampa and they, too, were seeing between 80 percent and 85 percent betting action on the spread.
