Winter Olympics 2014 betting odds on the medal count race were available at Sportsbook.com.

The medal frontrunners were USA, Norway, Germany and Russia.  USA was the favorite to win the most medals at -150 followed by Norway at +120.  However, Norway was a slight favorite to win more gold medals at -140.  Team USA would pay out $24 for every $10 bet if they were to win the most gold medals.

Norway is favored with good reason.

Norway has won more gold medals than 100 countries have total medals.

The Norwegians have a record 107 golds in Winter Olympics competition. Only nine countries (United States, USSR, Austria, Germany, Finland, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland and East Germany) have won more total medals in the Winter Games.

Let’s hope those Australians get hot (or cold) at 500/1 odds.  A $10 bet pays $5000!!!
