Rams-Giants Monday Night Football Betting Line

The Rams-Giants Monday Night Football betting line was relatively fluid as of Sunday evening with books offering a number anywhere from New York -6 to -7.  Spread action on this game was coming in at around 65 percent on the Giants but nearly 90 percent of those betting the money line were on the Rams.

The spread on this game actually opened at -3.5.  The total has moved up one notch to 44.

Jeff Grant of DonBest.com reports that the dramatic line move doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

“Many around Las Vegas feel that the line move isn’t justified due to St. Louis possessing capable backups after signing Cadillac Williams and Jerious Norwood during the offseason.

When these two teams last met in 2008, the Giants dismantled St. Louis on the road with a 41-13 victory.  New York won three previous in this series.

The Rams are 8-2 Against The Spread in their last 10 games following a ATS loss and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss.

New York is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.  They are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. NFC..

St. Louis running back Steven Jackson is expected to miss after suffering a quad injury.  Osi Umenyiora (knee) is expected to miss while Justin Tuck (neck) has been moved up to probable.
