The Raiders odds for 2013 include winning the AFC West at 25-1 and the Super Bowl at 250-1.  Those are huge payout odds at Sportsbook.com but more realistically you can find regular season win totals of OVER/UNDER 5 (the OVER pays $120 with the UNDER paying -140).

Oakland is expected to be in rebuilding mode this season.

The folks at Deadspin.com paint the gloomy picture of what Oakland’s fate should be in 2013 if past seasons, like last year’s 4-12 record, are any indication:

I bet the people at NFL Films seriously considered doing the season highlights video using sock puppets just to spice things up. They know a lemon when they see it. In the past 10 years, the Raiders have lost 11 or more games eight times. The Tom Cable/Hue Jackson Years represent the apex of your past decade. Having fans who dress up like a third-tier ECW tag team does nothing to mask this team’s suck.

By the way, that was the team’s first full season under new management. I keep waiting for Mark Davis to pull his scalp off and reveal that his father’s brain was transplanted into his skull upon death.

They will have a head coach that does not have name recognition in Dennis Allen.

In response to the Deadspin.com analysis, one reader commented:

Over the years I have punched holes in walls, threatened fraternity houses with metal pipes, backhanded fellow college students and berated girlfriends as a direct result of my football team's on the field performance. Obviously, I am a Raiders fan.

It’s likely to be another ugly season for Raiders Nation.

Go with the UNDER 5 wins here.
