What to Watch for:

Negatives:

*Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul underwent back surgery to repair a disc problem during the offseason.  While expected to play in Week 1, JPP will not partake in much of the Giants training camp.

*While having one of the most consistent team over the past few years, there are concerns that the Giants have plateaued.

*Franchise players Ahmad Bradshaw and Chris Canty cut from team.

*Decline of David Diehl.

*Cornerback situation not addressed during the offseason.

Positives:

*Wide Receiver Hakeem Nicks will be returning after contract negotiations had been worked out during the offseason.  Wide receiver Victor Cruz has signed his $2.879 million tender with the New York Giants following a much more agonizing negotiations process.

*Dan Connor, Cullen Jenkins and Mike Patterson new additions to team.  Jenkins, in particular, should be an excellent run-stopper for New York.

*Strong performance in the Draft including drafting Damontre Moore, who racked up 86 total tackles and 12.5 sacks for Texas A&M last season.

*Dan Connor will bring added toughness to the Giants defense.

New York Giants 2013 Schedule:

Week 1: at Dallas
Week 2: Denver
Week 3: at Carolina
Week 4: at Kansas City
Week 5: Philadelphia
Week 6: at Chicago (Thurs.)
Week 7: Minnesota (Mon.)
Week 8: at Philadelphia
Week 9: BYE
Week 10: Oakland
Week 11: Green Bay
Week 12: Dallas
Week 13: at Washington
Week 14: at San Diego
Week 15: Seattle
Week 16: at Detroit
Week 17: Washington

Out of the gate, the Giants will face Dallas on the road and Denver.  They are more than capable of winning all other games right up to their Week 9 bye week against the likes of Carolina, Kansas City and Philadelphia twice.

The Giants will need to get off to a strong first half of the season as, starting in Week 11, New York will play Green Bay, Dallas, Washington, San Diego and Seattle on consecutive Sundays.  The good news is that New York will host the Cowboys while Seattle typically has a tough time adjusting to the East Coast.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
