Charlie Sheen

We knew the offerings would be coming soon enough.  Paddy Power, Ireland’s biggest bookmaker, has just released a series of Charlie Sheen betting odds following what some observers say is a complete meltdown.  Others suggest what we are witnessing is nothing more than Charlie Sheen being Charlie Sheen.

A radio rant this past week prompted CBS bigwigs to suspend production of their mega hit “Two and a Half Men”.  Sheen is the highest paid actor on television and arguably the reason for that show’s high ratings.

Sheen shot back this week, appearing on a number of television shows to further bash producers of that show, more specifically Chuck Lorre, who Sheen referred to as a “clown”.

On CNN’s Piers Morgan, a somewhat tamer Sheen said during the interview:  "Maybe I should have been a little quieter, a little softer. But look what happens when you when decide to blaze a trail, you find out that those that can't stand the heat around them, they don't really have the guts to survive, you know?"

The story took a sad turn Tuesday night as authorities removed Sheen’s twin sons from his home shortly after they were tucked in bed.   His estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, reportedly filed a restraining order against Sheen, prompting authorities to remove the young boys.

The odds being offered up by Paddy Power are in relatively good taste, revolving around Sheen’s potential to win an Oscar, Screen Guilds award, and whether he will permanently move into the Playboy Mansion.  (all odds available here though Paddy Power does not take bets from North American citizens including those who reside in the US and Canada at this time).
