Now that the nominations are out, Sportsbook.com hasn't wasted any time putting up their 2010 Golden Globes odds.  This is Carrie Stroup reporting for Gambling911.com and I will be covering the betting scene extensively for the Golden Globes, Grammys and - the Mother of All Entertainment Betting Events - the 2010 Academy Awards.

Despite all the hoopla surrounding my personal favorite film, Precious, it's Up In The Air that has been instilled as the favorite at Sportsbook.com

is a 2009 American comedy-drama film directed by Jason Reitman and co-written by Reitman and Sheldon Turner. It is a film adaptation of the 2001 novel, Up in the Air, written by Walter Kirn. The story is about a corporate downsizer in his travels and follows his isolated life and philosophies, along with the people that he meets along the way.

2010 Golden Globes odds for Best Drama include:

Avatar +350

Inglourious Basterds           +1000

Precious +350

The Hurt Locker +400

Up In The Air          -150

Avatar would pay out $35 for every $10 bet (+350).  Up In The Air would require a $15 bet to win $10 (-150).  The $15 bet is paid back should Up In The Air win, but the risk is much higher.  I say go with Precious for a possible $350 pay day on a $100 bet or a $35 pay day on a $10 bet.  Heck, I think Precious is going to take home the Oscar too. Love ya George Clooney but let someone else get the accolades this go around.

2010 Golden Globes odds also have George Clooney an even odds favorite to win Best Actor in a drama for Up In The AirI say Morgan Freeman at +400

Colin Firth - A Single Man +600

George Clooney - Up In The Air even

Jeff Bridges - Crazy Heart +175

Morgan Freeman - Invictus  +400

Tobey Maguire - Brothers +800

As for Best Actress in a Drama, I want this one to happen so bad, Gabourey Sidibe was phenomenal in Prescious as Precious and she comes in with even odds.

Carey Mulligan - An Education  +130

Emily Blunt - The Young Victoria +1000

Gabourey Sidibe - Precious even

Helen Mirren - The Last Station +800

Sandra Bullock - The Blind Side +400

Sportsbook.com was also offering odds on Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy and Best Director.
