2009 Oscar betting props odds have been added to the ever growing menu at Sportsbook.com.  Among the new props odds being offered:  Who will the winner in each category thank first?  God?  Family member?  The Academy?  The three are lumped into one single bet that features a line of -150.  The option of "Other" pays even odds.

"Betting on the Oscars is huge," commented Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  "After a rewarding but tiresome Super Bowl betting weekend, the Oscars presents yet another massive undertaking."

In fact, the Oscars is the largest single day nonsporting event outside of the U.S. Presidential Election (though one can argue betting on the later event takes place over a year long period).  It is also widely considered to be the 3rd most bet on annual single day betting event after the Super Bowl and Kentucky Derby.

There are even bets on what dresses will be worn at the 2009 Oscars.  For example, one of the bet options is whether Kate Winslet will be wearing a dress designed by Armani Prive or will Angelina Jolie be wearing a black dress.

Other 2009 Oscar betting props include the length of each acceptance speech and number of Oscars won for each film.  Slumdog Millionaire had an OVER/UNDER of 4 ½.

"Gambling911.com's Oscar betting coverage is slated to be the best ever," promised O'Brien.

Gambling911.com's Publisher, Christopher Costigan, great uncle was a founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).

In addition to great Oscar betting props, Sportsbook.com was offering odds on all the Oscar winners in major categories.

The show airs February 22.
