Yorgos Lanthimos Odds to Win Best Director Surge Last Minute

Yorgos Lanthimos odds to win the 2019 Oscar for Best Director for the The Favorite had been slashed from +2400 to +240 at Draftkings with no logical explanation.

This move has helped turn the Best Director category from a LOCK on Alfonso Cuaron at -2000 to the single most competitive category to bet on this year's Oscars.

Dave Mason of BetOnline acknowledged the abnormality of this situation earlier in the day via Twitter, prior to slashing Lanthimos' price another 400 points.  

Wackiness going on with Best Director odds. Cuaron down to -1000 favorite (was -2500). Yorgos down to +600.

Cuaron could now be gotten for just -325 at BetOnline.
