Dodgers Own the Rockies

4:20 pm ET - The LA Dodgers have won the last ten games versus the Colorado Rockies.  There is one small problem for Thursday night's game.  The Dodgers are a -200 favorite on the road versus the Rockies Thursday night.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Dodgers RH Walker Buehler (8-1, 2.96 ERA) vs. Rockies RH Peter Lambert (2-0, 5.85)

The Rockies have nowhere to go but up against Buehler, who struck out a career-best 16 and limited them to two runs and three hits in a complete-game win on Friday. Improving to 4-0 over his last six outings, the 24-year-old has been spectacular in four starts this month, posting a 3-0 record and microscopic 0.87 ERA while striking out 42 and giving up three runs and 13 hits in 31 innings. Buehler has flustered Nolan Arenado and Ian Desmond, holding them to 6-for-37.

Lambert has not had an easy introduction to the majors, facing the Chicago Cubs twice and set to take on the Dodgers for the second time in six days as he prepares to make his fifth career start. The 22-year-old Californian did not factor in the decision in Los Angeles after giving up three runs and seven hits over five innings. That followed an ugly performance in which Lambert was hammered for eight runs and nine hits in three frames against San Diego.

Bitcoin Briefly Flirts With $14K

9:33 am ET - It's back down to $11732 late Thursday morning, representing an 8.5% decrease in the price of Bitcoin over this past 24 hours.  At one point yesterday, Bitcoin hit $13866.

With around 70% of gamblers at most online sportsbooks using Bitcoin as a funding method, this is great news for the bookmakers during what is typically the slowest period of the year.

Great news regarding the peak, bad news regarding the drop.

What caused that?

Seems it was a crash of the largest Bitcoin exchange, Coinbase.

Coinbase first said it was investigating an issue with its website not functioning properly at 4:47 p.m. ET.  By By 5:38 p.m, the problem was resolved.

The price drop occurred during this time.

We'd be remiss in not pointing out that banking institutions experience site crashes regularly.  It seems when these issues take place in the crypto world, the trust factor is still a major factor.
