FanDuel will Likely be a Power House in PA Too

Sportsbooks in Pennsylvania wrote more than $60 million in tickets last month, a new record for the state during the summer months.

And now we know why Illinois fought like Hell to keep FanDuel out.

Newcomer FanDuel Sportsbook is going to be an online end-boss, too. It saw almost as much action through its first nine days of life ($3.3 million) as Parx Sportsbook did for the whole month. It also leads by a mile in New Jersey, responsible for more than half the total revenue among all operators.

PA Online Gambling Takes in $812,306 its First Month

Pennsylvania launched online casino games such as slot machines and table games last month and the results are good so far considering there are only three land-based casinos offering the platform.

SugarHouse Casino, Parx Casino and Holywood Casino at Penn National Race Course reported modest revenue hauls from their new online offerings. The state has some of the highest taxes for operators. They collected $326,700 in taxes on the $812,306 in revenue. You can do the math to see what we are talking about.

SugarHouse reported $422,796 in online gaming revenue; Parx Casino reported $26,124; and Hollywood Casino reported $129,386.

Online casino games amounted to less than 0.3 percent of the total monthly revenue for the state’s casino industry, which reported $281.5 million in total gaming revenue in July, up 1.1 percent over the previous year.

South Florida Resident Hits Over $475K Jackpot With Just $10 Bet

The new, 30,000-square-foot casino will include a new High Limit Slots room with denominations ranging from $1 to $1,000, and new non-smoking gaming rooms for both slots and high-limit slots. Additions also include a 45-table Poker Room with an eight-table semi-private area, and feature a tournament table with elevated stadium seating for guests of players to catch the action. Poker Room amenities include a deli with delicious grab-and-go selections and a private cage with three windows for accessibility, with convenient access from the resort’s promenade.
