Outside of some political races (i.e. the U.S. Presidential election and Brexit), the Oscars are the year's most wagered on non sporting event.

They also tend to be easy bets.

While many of the categories feature high priced "locks" that always win but have little value, some categories feature favorites priced in the -200 to -500 range.  These aren't the most appetizing prices in your typical sport, but they do have an amazing history of winning with a risk that is within reach of most gamblers (i.e. -500 means a bet of $50 to win $10 or profit $10, and your initial $50 is refunded similar to putting down a returnable deposit).

We here at Gambling911.com suspect Christian Bale will be a -1000 or greater "lock" to win in the Best Acto category, the price being a bit too steep to bet on.
