One of the biggest names in online poker, Tom "Durrrr" Dwan, was dangerously close to being eliminated from the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event Wednesday evening. Dwan was down to a 6500 chip count by the 7 pm PST hour. By 10 pm PST Dwan was still hanging in there, but just barely.
Dwan is known as a maniacal gambler online who often places side bets on himself that tend to be costly.
The 2010 World Series of Poker is no exception.
Dwan has reportedly wagered millions in prop bets (reportedly $4 million against Phil Ivey alone) that he would win at least one bracelet at this year's event.
A 2010 World Series of Poker win could result in nearly $15 million just in prop bets (and does not include the several million that would be paid by the WSOP).
