German poker player Niklas Heinecker has won more money than any other person online in 2013 to date, cashing out a sweet US$1.19 million.  And to think he only began playing online back in May.

It’s not just online where Heinecker has enjoyed huge success.  He also won the HK$1 GuangDong Asia Millions (US$4.5 million) back in May, bringing his total combined earnings on the year to an unprecedented $8.7 million.

Overall, Chris Moorman is the biggest money earner online, having amassed $10 million in Web tournaments over his career.

“This is easily the greatest day of my poker career,” Heinecker announced after the win in Hong Kong.
