Where Can I Bet the Oscars Online From Washington, Oregon, Montana

You can bet the Oscars online from Washington State, Oregon, and Montana using any number of internationally-based websites.  None of these states host gambling websites.

In May 2018 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states could begin offering sports betting, including via the Web.  While the Oscars may not seem like a sports betting event (and indeed it is not), for years the awards show has been a pivotal part of sportsbook offerings throughout the world. In fact, outside of the U.S. Presidential elections and a handful of other big political events like Brexit, the Oscars has long been the most bet on single day non-sporting event.

Oregon and Montana were two of only a handful of states that have been able to offer sports betting over the past several decades along with Nevada.  Neither offered any full service sportsbooks and probably will not any time soon.

Washington, on the other hand, became the first and only state to specifically outlaw individuals from placing bets online (as opposed to going after the operators).

Despite these scenarios, residents of all three states can still access and bet at international websites offering Oscar wagering.  Some sites do not permit access from Washington State residents as a result of their law.
