Miss Philippines Didn't Win the Crown But Drove the Most Search Traffic in December

Outside of our regional sportsbook directory, it was Miss Philippines who took the crown for most search traffic to the Gambling911.com website in December (Miss South Africa actually won the pageant).

She wasn't even the favorite but, if worldwide search and popularity played into the decision, Gazini Christiana Ganados would certainly be wearing the crown today.

Miss Philippines Odds to Win 2019 Miss Universe received the most search traffic via Google last month, demonstrating just how popular the Miss Universe pageant is in the realm of gambling.

Whereas Miss Philippines was the winner at Gambling911 without walking away with the crown, the Draftkings Sportsbook app in Illinois was the runner up in terms of traffic referrals from Google.....even though there is no such sportsbook app existing in the state of Illiinois.

That's because there is a demand for it and Draftkings is pushing for market entry in the state, something they've been denied of for the next two years (or from the time Illinois sports betting finally kicks off?).  Draftkings has launched an "educational" campaign in response.

Gambling911.com's not-so-wholesome, not-so-family-friendly crime coverage once again proves especially popular, as illustrated by last month's Google search results.

Alleged Gambino Bragged of Ability to Violently Collect Gambling Debts was the third most trafficked article via Google search inquiries.

That story detailed how 12 alleged Gambino Crime family members faced charges of racketeering conspiracy, bribery, loansharking, fraud, obstruction of justice in early December.

One individual is accused of recovering tens of thousands of dollars of a gambling debt on behalf of an Albanian organized crime figure.

Mark Kocaj, 49, of Tuckahoe, New York, is said to have bragged about his ability to violently collect money, stating that he could send “a couple of my Albanian guys” and have somebody “grab (a potential victim) by the (expletive deleted) neck.”

Traffic numbers do not reflect referrals from Bing, other websites and direct website entries.
