UFC 118 odds were available at BetUS.com (see website here).

The best lightweight of all time, BJ Penn, goes up against Frankie Edgar as a very big -350 favorite.  Edgar, however, is 12-1 in all time fights and would pay out $25 for every $10 bet with a win.  The Penn price may be a bit steep.  The Edgar price might deserve some consideration.  Keep in mind, Edgar had a unanimous decision in April against Penn in Abu Dhabi.

Josh Gross of CNNSI.com writes of that matchup:

Edgar, 28, definitively proved he belonged in the cage with Penn.

How?

Speed, wrestling and the ability to focus over 25 minutes. Fighting in the Middle East or near Middleton, Mass., won't change tangible, tactical truths for the man walking to the Octagon with the belt this weekend.

"When you hear people say you're the greatest lightweight of all time, it's [expletive]," Penn (15-6-1) said. "It's not real. It's fake. Being the champ is fake. You just go out there, keep training and keep winning fights. The only thing real is the fight."

The other blockbuster fight on this card, Randy Couture vs. James Toney deserves zero consideration where bettors are concerned.

The UFC 118 odds on that fight had Couture an out-of-reach -600 favorite.  Too steep a price.

UFC fans, remember you can place your bets on which team will win the 2011 Super Bowl at BetUS.com here

This is the first time in recent memory that the favorite to win the 2011 Super Bowl was coming in with odds as long as 8/1:  That would be the Indianapolis Colts.

For years we had the New England Patriots or Pittsburgh Steelers coming in around 3/1 odds.  This is going to be a very exciting NFL season for sports bettors.

Other odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl included:

San Diego Chargers 9/1

New Orleans Saints 9/1

Dallas Cowboys 9/1

Green Bay Packers 10/1

Minnesota Vikings 10/1

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
