Online Football Betting: New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins

Patriots vs. Dolphins
Nov 20 2008 - 7:07pm

The New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins game will be among the most bet on this weekend.

Online football betting odds at BetUS.com featured a line of -1.  No need for a cover in this game as either team just has to win outright for the bet to be good (unless it's a push on Miami winning by one point).

The longtime AFC East rivals will face off at Dolphin Stadium in a surprisingly important contest that will give the winner, either a tie of first place or sole possession of second place in the hotly contested AFC East.

Just one season after winning just one game, the Dolphins have flourished under head of football operations, Bill Parcells and head coach Tony Sparano.

"This is why we do what we do. We put ourselves in position to have a big game at home at the end of November. That's where we are," Sparano said. "That being said, I don't think too much has to be said this week."

"The Dolphins have been winning for a reason NFL sports betting fraternity - excellent defense," points out BetUS.com analyst, Eric Williams.  "Miami has been playing outstanding defense during their four-game run and that won't change against the Patriots.

"Miami's offense has also found a way to get the job done when necessary and should be able to put enough points on the board to give Miami its biggest win in over two years.

"Take the Dolphins to cover in what looks like a classic field goal game to me."

This game

I was at the Oakland vs. Miami game this past Sunday. The fins looked a little flat. They seem to be getting more and more away from the "wildcat" offense. They failed to use it in situations that they should have. And they are not using enough redirection. Maybe they feel that the other teams in the NFL have practiced against it enough. After all, the NFL is the biggest copy cat league out there. Even the announcers do there share of copying. Anybody totally sick of hearing "He is a game manager" yet? I love my fins but the fact is that they should be 3 point underdogs in this one, not 1 point favs. I hope I am wrong. Brad Taylor www.FreePicksUSA.com
