NHL Betting Preview: Minnesota Wild vs. San Jose Sharks

Nov 4 2008 - 2:18pm

In today's NHL betting preview we look at the Minnesota Wild vs. San Jose Sharks, the later having the second best record in the National Hockey League.

SBG Global Opening Line: Sharks  - 210 , Total 5 Under -115

The red-hot San Jose Sharks will look to stay unbeaten at home as they host the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.  The Sharks have won four straight overall and they have won all six games at home so far this season.  They could have success on Tuesday against Minnesota, considering they have beaten the Wild the last seven times the two teams have played. San Jose has not lost to Minnesota since October of 2006. SBG Global reports that early Hockey betting has the public taking  Sharks on the Road.

The Sharks are coming off a 5-3 win on Sunday against Colorado as Devin Setoguchi and Milan Michalek scored two goals each. "Everyone is putting up points," said Setoguchi, "Every line, when they can contribute like that, it's tough for other teams to match lines. It's pretty effective for our team."  Tuesday's game could be competitive though considering the Wild are 4-1 on the road this season.

Here are the Hockey betting stats for Tuesday's game. The Wild are 4-1 in their last 5 road games. The Wild are 7-3 in their last 10 overall. The Wild are 1-5 in their last 6 vs. a team with a winning record. The Wild are 1-7 in their last 8 Tuesday games. The road team is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between the two teams.
