UB.com German Ambassador Marc “ULTIMATEMARC” Gork Makes Final Tables
UBOC5 continued yesterday with Event #19, the $300+20 8-Game Mix, that saw 232 players turn out to the UB poker room to test their mixed game skills for a shot at a share of the $100K Guaranteed.
Hosted by Team UB’s MICHAEL BINGER (119th), the $100K GTD event also attracted UB pros to the tables, including P0KER H0 (226th), PHIL HELLMUTH (201st), DEBO34 (156th), HOLLYWOOD DAVE (75th), and ANNIE DUKE (41st), butwith only the top 24 places to be paid, they all missed out on the money.
It was UB’s German Ambassador Marc “ULTIMATEMARC” Gork who was left to fly the Team UB flag, proving his spot on the squad is well deserved. ULTIMATEMARC put in a stellar performance to make it to the final table. Gork, whose biggest result to date is a 3rd place in the EPT Season 5 German Open for $435,647, once again made it down to the last three players. He outlasted fellow German COLLIEN, who finished up in 4th place for $8,000, butunfortunately on the day, COLOBERRY and ZIKKZAKK had his measure, and ULTIMATEMARC had to be content with a 3rd place finish for $12,000.
The UBOC5 Event #19 kicked off on Saturday, August 28th at 16:00 ET, and after eight hours of mixed game action, it came down to the final hand heads up between COLOBERRY AND ZIKKZAKK at about 00:10 ET this morning. 22 others had already walked away with more money than they started with, but only COLOBERRY and ZIKKZAKK remained in contention to battle it out for the big bucks.
The match-up finished with chip leader COLOBERRY holding 7d-7h to ZIKKZAKK’s Jc-Ah. After a jostle for position between both players raising and re-raising, ZIKKZAKK went All-In, and COLOBERRY called. The Flop came 2s-5c-5h, and the Turn card 7s connected with COLOBERRY, with the 3c on the River giving nothing to save ZIKKZAKK from second place. COLOBERRY’s Full House, sevens full of fives was enough to secure him first place over ZIKKZAKK’s pair of fives on the board, picking up the $28,000 prize money for his effort.
