Punta Cana Poker Classic Expected to Have Around 300 Signups

Gambling911.com is currently in attendance at the Punta Cana Poker Classic in beautiful sunny Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and the players have begun arriving throughout the day Tuesday and into Wednesday.

Some 200 people had already signed up by Tuesday with another 100 anticipated by the time the event has concluded.  The buy-in is $1000 and there is a guaranteed $100,000 in allocated winnings to be given out. 

Doyle Brunson, his son Todd and daughter Pam arrived late Tuesday evening accompanied by four Team Brunson players.  A contingency of Swedish poker players representing True Poker.com were also on hand.

“The event is looking like it will be a major success,” said organizer Ivonne Montrealegra-Brathe.

The Punta Cana Poker Classic is being held at the Palace Resort’s Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, a fabulous all-inclusive venue where room service, top shelf drinks, mini bar, world class restaurants are all free.

Wednesday evening is the welcome reception and the tournament kicks off tomorrow (Thursday).
