The interest in murder suspect and online poker player Joran van der Sloot has hardly dwindled since it was first reported he was the primary suspect in the beating death of Peruvian college student Stephany Flores.

Ms. Flores herself was an avid poker and casino player who met van der Sloot in Lima while he was following the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT).  She followed him up to his hotel room after the two were observed on camera in a casino.  Sadly Flores never returned and van der Sloot would later confess to her murder.

He is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway from his native Aruba in 2005.

With reports surfacing that van der Sloot is now under investigation for possible human trafficking in Thailand, he continues to be one of the most searched for topics on the Internet and at Gambling911.com, according to the G911 Facebook Page.

Ditto -- I am only interested to see that he receives justice, and I'm curious whether he will be indicted for the disappearances of those women in Thailand. No romaticism here. I want to see he gets what he deserves.

I admit that I am interested in this story. He deserves a long sentence and to be some inmate's "sweetie" but I'm also one of the few that doesn't think he deserves to be tortured. He's not a calculated serial murderer that gets pleasure from killing people, BUT he's a ruthless, sociopath, serial date rapist with severe anger issues. I'm not defending this nut case...just think living in fear of his safety and survival is enough punishment.

Joran thinks that this is a game. He was winning against the U.S., and especially Aruba. Peru is his toughest opponent, so far. Thailand may be his next opponent. The stakes are increasing. Joran is fully engaged (if not insane).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Thailand decapitate the criminals over there? I am so "on the fence" when it comes to capital punishment, but in this creeps case I think I could deal with it with a stupid smile on my face.

I am not sure of the Thai legal system and its punishments. I heard that they are harsh. I doubt that anything will come from their investigation. I also doubt that Joran will survive Peru. He is a foreigner who killed a local and he continues to game the Peruvian legal system. I would like to see him interogated (tortured if necessary) by the some country's military to get the truth about his criminal past. What I expect is that Joran will take his knowledge to the grave - and he will be smug about it.

I think you nailed it - he will have to be tortured to ever come close to the truth. I am also on the fence about capital punishment - because there are people behind bars that never committed the crime - but in his case - there are no doubts. As much as I don't like suggesting it - torture him and find out what happened to Natalee - however, the inmates may retrieve that information and as far as a trial they can be the judge.
