This American thoroughbred race takes place in Saratoga.  The race is open to horses age three, willing to race one and one-eighth miles on the dirt. It carries a purse of $500,000.

This race does tend to get some decent amount of wagers.  As such, Gambling911.com will be covering the Jim Dandy Stakes a number of days leading up to July 27.

This year’s favorite is Palace Malice, the winner of May’s Belmont Stakes.  Palace Malice does have good value at 3/1 odds.

Incognito had the next longest odds at 5/1 while other contenders like Freedom Child, Normandy Invasion and Oxbow each came in at 6/1 odds.

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
