Hurricane Earl dropped some 5 inches of rain upon the online gambling hub of Antigua overnight Sunday and into Monday morning.  By early afternoon, power was restored to the island and websites back up.  Intertops.com, the leading sports betting website on the island, had been down throughout much of the morning Monday.

Nominal damage but some flooding was reported on the island.

There were few reports of wind damage, with only a few trees and power lines downed.

A series of hurricanes had brushed the island during the early part of the past decade.  Most online gambling sites were up and running again immediately following the storm’s passage.
