Following last October’s indictment of former Cantor Gaming Sportsbook head Mike Colbert and 24 others, the Nevada gaming Control Board continues to conduct an investigation of its own.

Colbert faces eight counts of conspiracy, money laundering, and enterprise corruption for his alleged role in a massive sports betting ring involving PinnacleSports.com.   If convicted on all charges, he could face a maximum of 25 years behind bars.

The Nevada State Gaming Control Board Enforcement Division, working with the New York Police Department, the FBI and the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, participated in the service of search warrants and the arrest of eight men from the Henderson and Las Vegas areas, including Colbert.

Cantor Gaming remains one of the largest operators of sportsbooks in the state of Nevada, running eight businesses throughout the state, most of which are located in Las Vegas.

“We are not done,” asserted A.G. Burnett, chairman of the - Gaming Control Board. “We are still in investigative status.”
