Casino Affiliate Programs Bans Liggero

Jan 11 2009 - 5:35pm

Gambling Portal Webmasters Association representative, Rebecca Liggero, has been banned from appearing future Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP) events, including an upcoming show in London later this month.

CAP organizer, Warren Jolly, sent the ban notice via email to Liggero.

A defiant Liggero announced she will still be heading to London.

"I will tell everyone I know about this absurd behavior and that THAT is where their marketing dollars are going," the normally docile Liggero bellowed.  "Warren is a jerk!"

Liggero's company is also in the online gambling affiliate business, offering a similar model to that of CAP, but in recent days the GPWA President, Michael Corfman, has accused CAP organizers of running a "rogue" online poker room, CardSpike.com, which has failed to pay many of its affiliate partners.

Corfman issued the following statement this past week:

"Still, I kept quiet and did not say anything. Perhaps I should not have stayed quiet, but there are limits on what level of attack is appropriate against a competitor, especially when that competitor is quick to threaten lawsuits ... a topic for another day.

"But anyway, now that the cat is out of the bag, I can confirm that what I have been told is far worse than anyone might imagine. My understanding is that principals at CAP, which claims to certify programs and represent affiliates, are running a rogue operation and ripping off affiliates on the side."

"So you have an organization being paid by affiliate programs to help them establish new affiliate relations that is, behind the scenes, using the affiliates who are referred to them through those programs and through ******* to promote Cardspike.

"And then you have Cardspike, which is an online gaming operation beneficially operated by US citizens, that accepts US players. Simply unbelievable. What goes around comes around."

CAP organizers continue to deny any ownership interests in CardSpike.com.

Liggero remained dumbfounded on Sunday while a guest of the Poker Stars Bahamas Caribbean Adventure.

"I'm so pissed off- I have done NOTHING to bring this on- Michael Corfman, sure, I understand, but me?  I have kept my mouth shut until now, but this is totally out of hand."

CAP Real Waste of Money & Time

According to some the biggest affiliate programs, CAP has never brought in an active affiliate via their site for paying $40k per year for listing on CAP. The founders claim that they are real gaming affiliates but they are not with in 5 years Lou had brought in 5 depositng players to one of the biggest gaming room that I work for so 1 player per year :). And their confrence is all about party and half decent naked girls, than doing real business and adding value to affiliates and affiliate programs world wide.

Lou Fabiano Lies & deceipt

Lou Fabiano's Lies & Deceit Go Back Years: http://www.hundredpercentgambling.com/2007/03/lou-fabiano-responds-to-charge-of.htm How many times has he used this excuse that someone took his account over....enough already...oust the SOAB.

Correction to comments made about ASP

Please note that Michael Corfman has since corrected his comments made about Affiliate ***** pay; Quote Michael Corfman; "And they have an ownership interest in Affiliate ***** Pay too. {Correction: Please note that since this initial post I have learned the statement made at one time to me by a member of the CAP management team that he owned affiliate ***** pay and a post on the CAP website by a member of the CAP management team stating that they operated affiliate speed pay were incorrect. My current understanding is that CAP serves only in a marketing capacity for affiliate ***** pay} So you have an organization being paid by affiliate programs to help them establish new affiliate relations that is, behind the scenes, using the affiliates who are referred to them through those programs and through affiliate ***** pay to promote cardspike, which is their own beneficially owned online gaming operation. {Correction: Given the updated information I have obtained about the ownership of affiliate ***** pay noted above, and based on discussion with affiliate ***** pay I now feel confident that no information related to affiliate ***** pay account holders was accessible to CAP in their more limited marketing role}" http://www.gpwa.org/forum/cardspike-cap-gambling911-178366.html

Wow...Rebecca? She's super

Wow...Rebecca? She's super sweet. Everyone in this business loves her. By CAP Banning her, she must know something so important that CAP doesn't want her there. Censorship at this level is draconian. I say BOYCOTT CAP. This more than justifies my decision 2 weeks ago to cancel all dealings with CAP.

..

I spoke with Rebecca tonight and she has confirmed that Warren has banned her from the conference and that he is in fact going to sue Casino City this week. Warren is obviously going off now and has no allies left. He's a true fuck.

Um Source Please or Reference

Searched google news and the main index but couldn't find anything on Rebecca so curious if this is true or not. I would assume that this information would be available elsewhere and not just G911 as it's unlikely that she decided to spill all to G911

It is 100% true

Hi, it's Rebecca here...I was attending the Pokerstars Caribbean adventure in the Bahamas when Warren confirmed that I was banned, so I did not have time to publish the information myself. Thank you Chris!! Anyway, now I'm back and here you go: http://www.gpwa.org/forum/cap-spring-break-09-other-dates-177570/p2.html#post524680. Confirmed!! :) Also, I'll be writing my own article this week which will appear on CasinoCityRebecca.com...

she has it on her facebook

she has it on her facebook page. "This is 100% serious!!! (for once- haa) Just kidding, I love G911 xx :)"

Confirmed

Just caught it on CNN.

Missing Something?

Where was all the coverage when Lou, Warren, and the boys banned Corfman, J Todd, and the whole host of others who did nothing? Where was the coverage when PAP banned all the people who questioned Cardspike's ownership? What I don't get is why anyonw gives a damn about CAP anyway. Its overpriced and run by a bunch of self absorbed, egotistical simpletons.

Missed something

We advertise with CAPand questioned the value of the 40K annual payment long before the events of recent weeks. We were told outright that if we dropped them they would go out of their way to give us a bad name and simply put destroy us!! Extortion YAY! As if it's not tough enough being an operator in today's climate you've got to endure the wrath of Wolly if you happen to change your mind about working with CAP. That my friend is why some poor souls are still working with these self absorbed, egotistical simpletons

But they are not the only company

I dont understand why the operators dont see this. Sure some affiliates may be brainwashed into thinking that CAP is legit but really do you think they could persuade everyone. I am sure that if the only group giving bad rep to operators is CAP and its group while others have no problems you will be just fine. Besides how great is it knowing that while your pushing your 40K over to them they are using their own group of affiliates to push their room. Seriously wake up people! - Manage and push a company which is in direct conflict with their sponsors - Use CAP and PAP to get 100's of affiliates on board in their first month - Neglect affiliates and deny any ownership in the problem - AND CONTINUE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! Who's the scum in this scenario I still don't understand why rooms pay for these spots when they could use those funds to maintain their affiliates. A happy affiliate is more willing to put your room as their main room across their network of sites which in turn generates players while Warren and Jolly only recycle affiliates.

Missed Nothing

We were told the same thing and were advised that it is essential to advertise with them or - i refused to advertise as i am the provider of income to my affiliate partners and not them - and to be honest i do a lot more for my affiliate partners than they do - even without taking into account recent issues surfacing . Have some balls and tell them to bugger off . Oh yeah they banned me from the forum as well - big deal - there are other forums that are vastly more productive in terms of business and no cliques or eye watering charges - check out the GIA
