The National Football League still considers sports betting detrimental to society.  This hasn’t stopped the Raiders from relocating to the gambling Mecca of Las Vegas.  But already the league is enforcing its antiquated policies on those looking to attend Raiders games.

The hot trend these days is LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING.  But you won’t be able to engage in this activity or any other form of betting on games while in the new Vegas stadium, if the NFL has its way.

The league voiced its frustration after the American Gaming Association announced it would allow wagering inside the stadium.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN in the Raiders “are required to abide by League rules on the matter.”

Likewise, the Raiders lease explicitly goes against the AGA declaration: “any Gaming or Gambling, the maintaining or operating of a Gaming Establishment and/or sports wagering or any wagering on racing or other non-sports events.”
