Football Betting Lines: 2009 NFL Week 1

Here is an early look at the football lines for the 2009 NFL Week 1 period.  These lines were courtesy of BetUS.com and subject to change so if you see a line you like now, LOCK IT IN NOW HERE.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were a -5 favorite hosting last year's last to be defeated team, the Tennessee Titans.  How the Titans fare this year remains to be seen but it appears as if they still have all the tools in place for a successful season and this is a team that will remain outside of the radar, at least during the first few weeks.   This is the first game played of the 2009 season Thursday night.

Other football betting lines:  2009 NFL Week 1 included:

ATLANTA -4 Miami
Philadelphia -1 CAROLINA
CINCINNATI -4 Denver
Minnesota Vikings -4 CLEVELAND

BALTIMORE -10 Kansas City - Sure we here at Gambling911.com expect Baltimore to perform well again this season, but Kansas City should improve and this is a line to examine closely as it seems a bit inflated perhaps.

More football betting lines:

HOUSTON -4 ½ New York Jets
INDIANAPOLIS -7 Jacksonville
NEW ORLEANS -13 Detroit
Dallas -5 ½ TAMPA BAY
ARIZONA -6 ½ San Francisco

SEATTLE -7 ½ St. Louis

GREEN BAY PACKERS -3 ½ vs. Chicago Bears - This is the game a lot of people will be talking about.  Are the Bears really going to get somewhere this year with Jay Cutler as their quarterback, or is this going to be just another loud thump as the rest of the team simply is not as good as they were back during their Super Bowl appearance.  Last year, the Bears still managed to play just above .500 football.  The Green Bay Packers may be the better team in this division, however.  Obviously, the real excitement will come when The Packers meet The Vikings a few weeks from now.

The remaining games include:

NEW ENGLAND -10 ½ Buffalo
San Diego -8 ½ OAKLAND
