Dallas Cowboys vs. Houston Texans

The Dallas Cowboys vs. Houston Texans spread opened at Houston -3.  SBG Global was among the few online sportsbooks that has moved this line to -2 ½.  Action on this game was relatively even or 55/45 in favor of Houston.  The Texans come into this game with a 2-0 record while Dallas sits with an unlikely 0-2.

Matt Schaub became just the fourth quarterback in the last 50 years to throw for at least 475 yards and have a completion percentage of at least 70 percent in his team’s 30-27 overtime win against the Redskins last week.

"My thought coming into this week was that I knew that a lot of people was going to be questioning us, asking if we were for real," said Andre Johnson prior to last week’s game.

He had 158 yards receiving and tied a career high with 12 catches despite leaving the game for part of the second half with a sprained right ankle.

The Dallas Cowboys come into this game a complete mess.

The Bears threw five or more rushers at Tony Romo on only nine of his 51 pass attempts last Sunday. Romo struggled against four or fewer pass rushers, throwing two interceptions for a 71.7 passer rating.

Marion Barber and the Cowboys run game never got going, managing just 36 yards on 20 carries. Barber, who had just eight rushes in Week 1, carried the ball 11 times against the Bears on Sunday, but Chicago was ready for him.

Dallas last hosted Houston in 2006, easily covering the -13 spread with a 34-6 victory.

The Cowboys are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game but 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and 1-5 ATS on grass.

The Texans are notorious for alternating wins and losses throughout the regular season. Houston is 2-6-2 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS win.
