Odds to Win Best Director – 2012 Oscars: Michel Hazanavicius a ‘Lock’

At -1000 odds to win Best Director at the 2012 Oscars, Michel Hazanavicius should win for his direction of “The Artist”.  (all the latest Oscars betting odds can be found at Bookmaker.eu here)

“Typically when you see someone with these types of odds, the win is nearly guaranteed,” noted Payton O’Brien, Operations Manager for the Gambling911.com website.

But the risk versus reward makes this one tough to bet.  You would have to wager $100 just to win $10 (the $100 would of course be refunded with a Hazanavicius win).

“The prices are typically much higher with Oscar betting,” O’Brien pointed out.  “This year is different where we are seeing competitive odds for categories like ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Actor’.”

While the big underdogs rarely win with the Academy Awards, you can find the latest below and available at Bookmaker.eu, which has been serving the wagering public since 1985.:
