Illinois regulated sportsbook apps do not allow wagering on the Fighting Illini or any game that features them.  This includes the likes of DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM and Caesars.  Your options are to bet with an internationally licensed mobile sportsbook or a local bookmaker.

Bet the Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Kansas Jayhawks

The line on this game opened Jayhawks -3 as this one will be played in Kansas.  Using the Week 1 power ratings, we get a number of Kansas 0.60, suggesting an overlay of 2.5. The new ratings were set to be released on Tuesday.  The line so far has moved from a PICK'EM to the -3 number.

Caleb Griffin kicked a 29-yard FG in the closing seconds of their Week 1 game versus Toledo to give Illinois a 30-28 win.  The Fighting Illini were a -7.5 favorite in this game, thus failing to cover the spread.

“It's routine. I've been kicking in this stadium since I came to camp when I was 16 years old," said Griffin, who grew up about 40 minutes east in Danville, Illinois. “I came to campus when I was 18 years old and I'm 23 now, so you guys can do the math. I've kicked a lot of field goals on this field.

“I was kicking in the direction that my parents sit in,” Griffin said. “They sit in that end zone. And I just felt like that was the coolest thing that I've probably ever done.”

The Jayhawks easily beat Missouri State 48-17 in their season opening at home on Sept. 1.

Jayhawks quarterback Jason Bean threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns.

“How many times have I talked about Jason Bean's improvement? I have,” Jayhawks coach Lance Leipold said. “He continues to get better. He's done everything we've asked. You've seen him get more mature and more confident.”

The meeting between the Jayhawks and the Fighting Illini will be the sixth game played in series history, including the first since 1968. Illinois owns the series advantage at 3-2, while the only game played in Lawrence was played in 1892 and ended in favor of the Jayhawks, 26-4.

This game will be played Sept. 8 inside David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium for a primetime matchup under the lights on ESPN2.
