OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (Gambling911.com) - As the Steelers and Saints are prepared to meet in Paris for a Sunday NFL game, the question must be asked: What happens if I placed a bet on this game and it is postponed or suspended? Different books have different rules.

Situation BetOnline rule
Game postponed to another date No Action — wager refunded
Game delayed but played on the original date Wagers remain valid, subject to other rules
Game moved to a different venue No Action
Game suspended before 55 minutes Full-game wagers are No Action
Game suspended after 55 minutes Full-game wagers are official
First half completed before suspension First-half wagers stand

Same Game Parlay Exception
BetOnline has a different postponement rule for NFL Same Game Parlays (SGPs).
If the game is postponed or suspended but subsequently played or completed within the same NFL scheduling week — Thursday through Wednesday, local stadium time — SGP bets generally remain valid.
If the game is not completed within that period, special settlement provisions apply, including whether individual selections were already conclusively determined.
NFL Concerned Enough
Protests in Paris forced the NFL to close its "NFL House" experience.
Paris is experiencing some of France's largest anti-government demonstrations in years, with protests escalating into clashes with police on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The main Paris march was largely peaceful until late in the day, when approximately 500 masked individuals confronted police near the demonstration's endpoint. Officers used tear gas and water cannons after projectiles were thrown.
Rising food, housing and energy costs have brought workers, unions and families into the demonstrations. Protesters argue that government policies have failed to address financial hardship. Deteriorating schools and lack of teachers is also center stage.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Friday the NFL would have cancelled its first regular-season game in Paris if the situation were unsafe due to recent mass protests.
