OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Ben Shelton pays out $340 for every $100 bet should he somehow manage to upset -400 favorite Carlos Alcaraz Tuesday night.
Shelton is an American professional tennis player. He has been ranked world No. 5 in singles by the ATP achieved on November 10, 2025 and No. 68 in doubles attained on May 20, 2024. He is the current No. 1 American singles player.
He won 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round of the US Open on Sunday.
Shelton earned his first straight-set victory of the tournament so far as he routed the No. 53-ranked Greek after one hour and 52 minutes on court to move into the quarterfinals. The No. 8 seed from the United States is through to his second major quarterfinal of the season.
In their other two meetings, both on hard courts, Alcaraz beat Shelton in straight sets.
“I thought I played a good match in Paris but I think I’m serving better, returning much better [now],” Shelton said. “I think my shot tolerance from the baseline, overall quality from the baseline and my movement have improved. I think that it’s definitely going to be a different match playing here.”
Alcaraz is a Spanish professional tennis player. He has been ranked world No. 1 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals for 66 weeks, and finished as the year-end No. 1 in 2022 and 2025.
Alcaraz won 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 over Tommy Paul in the fourth round of the US Open on Sunday.
