OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Yesterday, Gambling911.com revealed that the gambling network VSiN had cut ties with two popular personalities.
The Baseball Betting Show's host Greg Peterson will be ending his tenure with the network in the next few weeks.
"I was informed over the weekend that effective at the end of the MLB regular season (two weeks from now) my contract with VSIN will not be renewed," Peterson confirmed. "I moved to Vegas in June of 2017 for the a role as an associate producer and had nearly 10 great years with the company."
His specialty is extremely high-volume handicapping. During college basketball and MLB seasons, Peterson creates daily spreadsheets covering every game, including his own projected lines. His basic philosophy is essentially that bettors shouldn't be betting teams—they should be betting numbers and looking for discrepancies between their projected number and the sportsbook's line.
Peterson will no longer be hosting Coast to Coast Hoops for VSiN this upcoming basketball season.
VSiN has also cut ties with Tyler Shoemaker, who announced he'll be ending his relationship with the gambling network.
"I am officially a free agent. Huge thank you to VSiN for having me contribute for the last 3 years. It’s been a great experience and I’ve made some amazing friends out of it, but I have been officially let go."
On Tuesday, host of the All Systems Go Podcast, Josh Appelbaum, announced he will be leaving the network as well....and not by choice.
"I was let go by @VSiNLive.
It's been an incredible journey over the past 7 years, starting with a "tryout" writing the daily newsletter in 2019, to being featured on The Lombardi Line and Betting Across America, hosting the Market Insights and Morning Bets Podcasts, joining DraftKings and, of course, writing thousands of daily sharp reports in between.
"Along the way, I gained invaluable experience, not only as a bettor but as a person. I learned how the industry works inside and out, discovered the magic of Las Vegas firsthand, survived COVID and, best of all, made countless friendships that I will take with me forever.
"A special thank you to one of the true "good guys" who always had my back, @Bill80
"I love betting. I love the sweat. And I’m excited for what’s next.
"Stay tuned…"
@Bill80 is in reference to prominent sports media executive and digital media pioneer, Bill Adee. He's also CEO and Co-founder of VSiN.
It wasn't immediately known why VSiN was taking these actions.
