Why Twisted Tom Win the Belmont Stakes – Pros and Cons - Latest Odds

Twisted Tom may be able to win the 2017 Belmont Stakes at 14/1 odds

Pros - Will be among the freshest horses to take part in this third leg of the Triple Crown.  Winner of his last three races and has only failed to win in his maiden race (1 of 4 so far). Has won at Belmont.  Trainer is the formidable Chad Brown. Jockey Javier Castellano has half as many Triple Crown race wins as he does Eclipse Awards for best jockey in the country.  This horse could also fare well with the distance.

Cons – Has not won a graded race.

Quick Thoughts – "He [Twisted Tom] worked great," said Brown following a practice run last week. "This horse has continued to improve all year, and more of the same today. It was a nice, strong work from him. [The Belmont is a] huge class test for this horse, but I love the way he's developed. I do think he can stay a mile and a half, I think the longer the better for him, so I'm anxious to get him out to that distance, but it'll be a tough field, a large field."
