Forbes on Why Full Tilt Poker Can’t Pay: Massive Theft and US Cash Seizures

Forbes.com reported on Full Tilt Poker’s statement Tuesday elaborating further on why it has failed to pay back customers millions of dollars. 

The one-time second largest online poker room in the world claims it was robbed by a payment processor in addition to funds being seized by the US Government on April 15 as part of an investigation into alleged money laundering and bank fraud.  They blame everybody but themselves. 

The US Government contends FTP can and should pay out its customers, implying these funds should have been segregated.

78 Charges Against 'Dougherty Gang'

A woman who stripped at poker games prior to allegedly robbing a bank and engaging in a shootout with Colorado law enforcement will face up to 78 charges along with her two siblings.

UPI.com reported that Lee Grace Dougherty, 29, and her brothers Dylan, 26, and Ryan 21, were in shackles when they appeared in a Walsenburg, Colo., court one after the other Monday, The Pueblo (Colo.) Chieftain reported.

Lee Grace Dougherty faced 29 complaints, Ryan Dougherty 24 and Dylan Dougherty 23.

Court Won’t Return Seized Domain Names: Says No Hardship Caused

A federal judge has refused to return the domain name of a Spanish company accused of violating copyright law.

Earlier this year US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) seized the domain name Rojadirecta.org owned by Spanish firm Puerto 80 along with several other Web addresses.  Puerto 80 was the only defendant to file a petition in the court, claiming the action was seriously damaging its business.

The judge disagreed, claiming the seizure has caused no significant hardship.
