OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Earlier in the month, Gambling911.com reported that Tarik Skubal was a favorite to next play for the Milwaukee Brewers. While the Brewers odds of landing Skubal are still short, there is a new favorite.
The MLB trade deadline locks in on August 3 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
I might be totally off base here, but it doesn’t feel like we’ll see a massive wave of superstars switching teams over the next week.
That said, the oddsmakers at BetOnline Sports & Casino aren't ruling anything out. And by far, Skubal remains one of the hottest commodities on the market.
He's now favored to play next with the LA Dodogers (pays $300 for every $200 bet or $150 for every $100 bet). And why not? They pretty much snatch up all the big names...because they can.
Dodgers officials have publicly downplayed their interest, indicating a blockbuster trade is unlikely.
And the LA Times is also bearish on Skubal playing for the Dodgers.
Between the Dodgers’ position in the standings, and the amount of talent they expect coming off the injured list, however, they don’t need to add Skubal to still be widely considered World Series favorites.
Despite injuries to key players, the Dodgers (67-39) have the best record in the majors and a 12-game lead in the National League West entering Monday.
