UFC 121

UFC 121 fight odds were available from a number of online sportsbooks.  This promises to be a much anticipated MMA card.

Brock Lesnar comes into the main event as a -145 favorite vs. Cain Velasquez, who is listed at +115.

A significant amount of hype has surrounded this fight to date.

Cain has outlanded his last five opponents by a tally of 481 to 63 coming into this fight and is thus far undefeated.

"To be honest I don't pay much attention to the hype," Velasquez said. And as for Lesnar's reputation, Velasquez says he's not impressed. "That tag, baddest man on the planet, he can have it. He deserves it. But anyone can beat anyone on the night."

The best line on Matt Hamill vs. Tito Ortiz was set at -170, favoring Hamill. Ortiz odds were mostly +140 across the board.

UFC 121 was proving to be among the most evenly matched cards in UFC history with none of the favorites listed above -250.

BetUS.com had Jake Shields at -200 and Chris Camozzi at -105.

Other books had Patrick Cote at -165, Sam Stout at -200, Gabriel Gonzaga at -160, Court McGee at -215, Daniel Roberts at -124 and Jon Madsen at -220 as one of the highest priced favorites.

The Diego Sanchez – Paulo Thiago fight was evenly priced at many books.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
