It seems like only yesterday that the Seattle Seahawks made an appearance in the Super Bowl and it practically was, but since then the odds makers haven't even considered the Seahawks. This year may be different with the Seattle Seahawks 2008 odds much shorter and their odds to win the 2009 Super Bowl set at +2000 for a payout potential of $2000 on every $100 bet at SBG Global.
Only four teams have shorter odds to win the 2009 NFC Championship: The Cowboys, Giants, Vikings and New Orleans Saints, who have the same odds as the Seahawks at +1000 for a potential $1000 payout on every $100 bet.

He drafted Darryl Tapp in 2006 and witnessed nine sacks from him as a fulltime starter last season. A year ago he signed Patrick Kerney and saw the veteran record 14.5 sacks. He also spent a third-round pick on defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, who became an effective starter midway through his rookie season. And this year, Ruskell spent the 28th overall pick in the draft on a four-year starter from Los Angeles's professional team (the Trojans). His name is Lawrence Jackson.
There is definite value in betting the Seahawks to win the NFC West Division even though their odds were slightly better than even at -135. These odds have been kept reasonable due to the belief that the Arizona Cardinals might be pretty good this year (they were listed with +300 odds).
You really get a sense for how well the odds makers believe the Seahawks can perform during the 2008 regular season by looking at the win total odds. Set at 8 ½ games, SBG Global has made the Seahawks a -155 favorite to win more than that.
