When it comes to NFL football betting this week, the Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys game might be the single most wagered on event.  This one is the lone Saturday game and a crucial one as both teams are vying for a spot in the Playoffs.

Referee Walt Coleman's ruling of a touchdown on a third-down pass play to Santonio Holmes in the closing moments of this past Sunday's Steelers vs. Ravens game resulted in a 13-9 Pittsburgh win.   And now this very good Ravens team that nobody wants to face in the Playoffs may not even make it to the post season despite an impressive 9-5 record.  Baltimore must win its last two remaining games against Dallas (on the road) and a much easier home matchup verses the disappointing Jacksonville Jaguars.

First Dallas:  We would be remiss to point out that Baltimore has trampled over the Cowboys in their two face offs of this decade.  Dallas, which has an identical record to the Ravens, will be looking for a Playoffs appearance as well.

The Dallas Cowboys would love to become this year's New York Giants, the wild-card team turned Super Bowl champion.

"Yeah, we have talked about that. It is definitely possible to still win a Super Bowl from where we are at," quarterback Tony Romo said. "And it is definitely possible not to win a Super Bowl from where the Giants are at."

Here is how the Cowboys make the Playoffs:

1) A win, an Atlanta loss and losses or ties by Philadelphia and Chicago.

1) A win, a Tampa Bay loss and losses or ties by Philadelphia and Chicago.

3) A win, losses by Atlanta and Tampa Bay and a Chicago loss or tie.

4) A win, a Philadelphia loss or tie, an Atlanta loss and Dallas clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over Chicago.

Sportsinteraction.com has Baltimore as a +4 ½ underdog as of late Tuesday, one of the few online sportsbooks to offer this line.  Gambling911.com does like Baltimore to cover the +4 ½.
