Home field advantage in the NFC will be on the line Sunday night as the New York Giants host the Carolina Panthers.  Both teams come into the game at 11-3 so the winner will clinch the #1 seed in the NFC. "The key is to continue to try to get victories," Carolina head coach John Fox said, "We've got a very, very tough challenge ahead of us going to their place, to the defending world champions' house. Right now, that's about all we need to focus on."

SBG Global reports that early NFL betting has the public taking Giants at Home.

The Giants have lost their last two games and seem to be missing wide receiver Plaxico Burress a lot more than people thought they would. "You can't use that as an excuse." New York quarterback Eli Manning said, "He is a good player for us and, I don't want to diminish his talent, but we feel like we have guys who can make plays and do things."

If the Giants lose to the Panthers on Sunday they would need to win next week against the Vikings just to get a first round bye.  The Panthers could also be in a bad situation if they lose.  A loss to the Giants might force the Panthers to win next week just to make the playoffs.  If the Cowboys, Bucs and Falcons all win their remaining two games then Carolina would miss the playoffs if they lose against the Giants on Sunday and next week at New Orleans.

Here are the NFL betting stats for Sunday's game. The Panthers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in December. The Panthers are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The Panthers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog.

The Giants are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite. The Giants are 24-8 ATS in their last 32 games overall.

SBG Global Current Line: Giants -  3  ,  Total  37.5

The Over is 5-0 in the Panthers last 5 vs. the NFC. The Over is 5-2 in the Panthers last 7 games as a road underdog. The Over is 9-4 in the Panthers last 13 games in December. The Under is 11-5 in the Panthers last 16 games as an underdog. The Under is 5-2 in the Giants last 7 games in December.
