Should I’ll Have Another ultimately win the Triple Crown in 2012, the payout would be a substantial $1100 for every $100 bet at BetOnline.

There’s a reason why I’ll Have Another is such a big long shot to win a Triple Crown.

First of all, he’s not even the favourite to win Saturday’s Preakness Stakes.  That honor goes to Bodemeister at 9/5 odds.

Then we have to examine how many times there has actually been a Triple Crown in the US.

We have seen it happen just 11 times.  The last time occurred 34 years ago.

But I’ll Have Another has already managed to break one record.  He won the Kentucky Derby from a post position that has never produced a Derby winner in 137 years.  That’s about two life times for the average person.

I’ll Have Another is said to look fresh coming into Saturday’s Preakness Stakes.

Even Bodemeister’s trainer, Bob Baffert, has given I’ll Have Another accolades.

"He's a good horse. He's won all three of his races this year against a strong group of California horses," Baffert said, referring to I'll Have Another. "I respect the Derby winner. I come here hoping I can turn the tables this time and get it done."
